Goodman and Sessions Brief Doctors on Capitol Hill

Dr. Goodman kicked off the spring meeting of the National Physicians Council for Healthcare Policy with an over view of a soon-to-be-introduced replacement for Obamacare. The bill, sponsored by House Rules Committee Chairman Pete Sessions and Sen. Bill Cassidy, offers a universal tax credit to everyone who purchases a minimal amount of health insurance, repeals Obamacare mandates and thousands of pages of regulations, denationalizes and deregulates the health insurance exchanges and minimizes the role of the federal government in the health care system.

John C. Goodman is President of the Goodman Institute and Senior Fellow at The Independent Institute. His books include the soon-to-be-published updated edition of Priceless: Curing the Healthcare Crisis, the widely acclaimed A Better Choice: Healthcare Solutions for America, and New Way to Care: Social Protections that Put Families First. The Wall Street Journal and National Journal, among other media, have called him the “Father of Health Savings Accounts.”
